Advanced Ballet and Tap combines both styles of dance into a 1.5hr class. Pupils will develop their understanding of French ballet terminology and focus on classic ballet technique through learning dynamic choreography whilst also working on their strength and flexibility each session.
The structure of the lessons follow the NATD ballet and tap syllabi in preparation for awards and examinations from June-November. Showcase choreography is taught between December & May.
When pupils reach the expected strength & skill level required in this session, they will have the opportunity to advance onto Pointe shoes.
Pupils have the opportunity to take part in our annual showcase and take part in various NATD (National Association Teachers of Dancing) awards & examinations.
